 Russia promises to release Indians battling for Moscow in Ukraine, New Delhi says


Russia has vowed to release Indian nationals who were "deceived" into enlisting in its military to battle in Ukraine, India's unfamiliar secretary said Tuesday.


Indian State leader Narendra Modi "emphatically raised the issue of early release" to Russian President Vladimir Putin during his two-roadtrip to Moscow this week, focusing on the need to bring all Indians home "as soon as could be expected," Unfamiliar Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra told columnists in a news preparation.


"The Russian side guaranteed the early release of all Indian nationals from the assistance of the Russian armed force," he said.
